Sopranos Finale helps Don't Stop believin' bounce 482% and people are saying, "Journey are back! Let's hit the official website!" Upon arrival, they find a site which is down, out, gone. Beautiful timing. They are in the process of hiring a singer from a tribute band, and while he is a good guy, I am sure in time he will surely join the "Dark Side of Darth Friga and Emporer Schon. Too bad and too sad. I wonder if Jon sits at is mansion and wonders what a fuck up he really is? This guy is not the brightest bulb in the chandelier. Neal plays guitar,and well, but dude should stick to doing just that, and not engineering trades of the lead singer position. Darth Friga meanwhile, continues to make sappy shitty ballads that a few 400 pound behemoths from BackTalk buy and fawn over, and he continues to be the easily the most hated guy in Journey. They have now made their cot, and must sleep in it. Good luck.
The blog has basically run it's course. Once again, BT and Journey are late for the party and empty handed. I feel for them. They remind me of Iraqi soldiers. Taking orders, and fighting with one sock, mismatched uniforms and no ammunition, all under General Azoff's commands. Funny thing is, the General can't remember his birthday or when he took his last shit. He doesn't even know who Journey is.

WOW!!The Sopranos and the hits on there site could've been huge!Once again they've missed the mark.All they really had to do was become a "Fan Of There Fans" but the fucking dollars signs got in the way once again.Now the fans and there legacy will be paying the price.

Dean, I think you are the greatest fan ever for unveiling the truth. Everyone knows you and Jeff are friends, and most know you were tight with the band especially Neal. What I like is the fact you don't play favorites and speak the truth, unlike Journey or their pathetic imposters. Good for you deano, and trust you have fans who appreciate what you do . We are definitely done with Journey now, and had it not been for you, we would never know the shenanigans they pulled.

I have to say that having all this happen right when the band's public profile has been hightened by the Soprano's things is just plain bad [make that BAD!!] management. The timing could not have been worse and, if what you say is true, the band has no website at the moment then it only makes a bad situation worse.
Whomever the decision maker(s) is/are really needs to take a reality check.

I can tel you Jeff is rebounding from this sideswipe of bullshit proportions and will return SOON with a full throttle CD and new and better than ever CD for HIS fans. Old news particularly based on what this Blog has unearthed and discussed, but the comments below are from an email from Jim Rykbost (who played keyboards for Frontiers on some shows) which was to a friend of mine who was simply asking him if he had any links to some audio footage of Frontiers featuring Jim R:
'I played keys for all of their southern shows, here in the US...that was a Northern show, and I just happened to be up there. I just jumped on stage for three or 4 songs that night. The singer's name is Jeremey Hunsicker. He's an awesome vocalist, and even though I'm no longer in the band, we are all still friends. On a side note, I don't know if you've been keeping up with all the gossip...but Jeremey has auditioned for Journey just last week. They fired Jeff Scott Soto, because they wanted to go back to sounding more like the original Journey sound'.

After reading the entire story on the Melodic Rock forum, can only conclude that Deano, besides being a misogynistic racist, (and practically illiterate despite launching vile attacks on everyone else for typos) was simply seeking a 15 minute shot of fame & attention. His entire "expose" had little to do with principle. This guy, suffering from delusions of grandeur, is a total celebrity sycophant, proved entirely by fawning posts to people of "stature" such as Lora Beard, JSS, Andrew & vicious attacks on posters he deemed as 'nobodies' ie anyone "unconnected to the band" & therefore unworthy of consideration. Boasting about "radio interviews" he supposedly had lined up (everyone wants me!!) & dropping tease tidbits such as "trust me I know" is indicative of a narcissistic & controlling personality disorder. He didn't 'save' Journey or the fans. And he was wrong. (about a lot of things). Perry did sing again. We all know how Deano would have expected a 65 year old man to sound just as he was in the 80's due to some latent desire to relive his long gone youth. All with the "disclaimer" of "its just my opinion" of course, embedded in some ethnocentric & absurd fantasy that people are 'entitled to their opinions" that simply is code for avoiding any accountability for their actions/behaviour
This whole drama didn't receive any attention outside this cliquey board, outside a blurb in Rolling Stone magazine (which Deano boasted about despite his so called hostility to such rags). Google it. You get one page, mostly with links to the MR board. So what did he do? Nothing.
